Dinner Date

My husband and I went out for Chinese food last night, and I wore these awesome green peep-toe platforms (that I failed to get a picture of). My dress was black, and I wanted to do something that would sort of tie the green in with the final look, so I decided to do it with my makeup. :) Hope you enjoy. BTW...ignore my crappy hair. (I tried to crop most of it out...LOL!) I had just gotten out of the shower, so it was still wet.

Party Time

I went to a party Saturday night, and I really wanted to use my Hi-Fi Cosmetics line...sort of wanted to make my face a billboard, so to speak. My outfit was hot pink and black (the t-shirt I happen to be wearing in these pics is a total coincidence and not part of the final outfit). Here's what I came up with. I apologize for the quality of the photos, as they were taken with my cell phone.

This look is one that I did days ago, just messing around. It's a lot stronger than anything I would probably wear due to the fact that the entire face is bold (eyes and lips). I prefer to pick one or the other. But it is!

Jane Colorsticks in My Boyfriend (as base on outer corner of lid only)
L'Oreal HIP Metallic Shadow Duo in Magnetic (light all over lid, dark on outer corner)
Icing Shimmering Eyes - no color on package (mauve color in and above crease and on lowerlashline)
Mary Kay Mineral Eye Color in Sweet Cream (highlight)
Coastal Scents Gel Liner in True Black (upper lashline)
Wet N Wild MegaLiner in #861 (over gel)
L'Oreal Infallible Eyeliner in Carbon Black (waterline)
MK Signature Endless Performance Mascara

On lips:

Case of "The Mondays"

I actually did this look last week (on Monday), and I was just going out to get my daughter registered for school and pick up some things for a road trip. I didn't want to wear foundation or powder because the excruciating heat would have just melted it off my face anyway. So, as a result, this look ended up being pretty simple and a lot less "done up" than I normally do.

On eyes:

e.l.f. Primer & Sealer
NYX Eyeshadow in Chick
NYX Eyeshadow in Hot Green
MAC Eyeshadow in Pompous Blue
InColor FabuLiner in Black
Maybelline Volum' Express Turbo Boost Mascara in Very Black

On lips:

Tutti Dolci Lip Gloss in Angel Food Cake

On face:

e.l.f. All Over Color Stick in Pink Lemonade

Rainy Day

So, I woke up around 5:00 this morning to a thunderous crash. Thunder, indeed. My car windows were down, so I rushed outside in my jammies to roll the windows up. After another hour went by and the rain was still coming down, I figured that I should start getting ready for the day. I had a lot of errands.

SO... I thought today would be a perfect day to test out the waterproofness of this particular eye primer/sealer I have. I've used this product several times, but I have yet to test it under "wet" conditions. The product I tested is LA Splash Splash Proof Sealer. I got it from Ulta a little over a month ago.

Here is the look...with "before going outside" and "after battling the pouring rain" photos! Enjoy!!!

On eyes:

LA Splash Splash Proof Sealer (product being tested for waterproofness)
MAC Eyeshadow in Stars 'n' Rockets (all over lid and lower lashline)
Prestige Shadow in Amethyst (outer corner and crease)
Kleancolor Super Shimmer Shadow Palette (a beige highlight)
Urban Decay Liquid Liner in Perversion
Rimmel Glam'Eyes Mascara in Black
L'Oreal Le Kohl Pencil in Carbon Black (waterline)

On lips:

Bourjois 3-D Effect Lip Gloss in #5
Too Faced Lip Injection

On face:

Femme Couture Mineral Effects Foundation in Medium Beige
Clinique Fresh Bloom All-Over Color in Peony

So, this photo was taken right before I walked out the door to run my errands...

AND... This photo was taken AFTER standing in the rain to load my two kids in the car, taking the kids out to eat, trudging through the downpour across the Walmart parking lot, and getting out in the rain (yet again) in an attempt to get all the groceries out of the car and into the house.

Looks like everything else got rinsed off in the rain, but the eye makeup stayed on...very well!

FINAL VERDICT: LA Splash Splash Proof Sealer passes the test with an A+!!! :)
